New Gingerbread OTA leak

I have an idea. Start with the very first post of this thread. Read that first post, and read all of the links in that first post. Those links may take you to other boards with more information and more links. Read the information there, and follow those links and read all of that information. Then come back here and continue reading this thread, following the links as they are posted.

It's not hard.

If you kept a nandroid of stock 340, I don't think you should have to SBF.

Actually, I don't know. You might want to SBF just in case.

This is a good question. I am on the first rooted GB leak and have a stock nandroid of 340. Can I just flash back in recovery, or do I have to go through the whole RSD Lite process?

I thought about it and realized that my nandroids never quite work right, so I'm flashing maderstcok right now instead of going back to my nandroid.

We can restore data when we get back to Gingerbread anyway, so it shouldn't be quite as painful.

I swear this is the last sbf I am ever going to do,lol I get it now, gotta sbf back to froyo 2.3.3.4, root, then flash all 3 of these and reboot.

 It can be somewhat of a pain at times. This type of stuff remind me of years back when computers first started becoming the in thing. I used to crash my computer so much trying different things out on it. Then having to reformat and reinstall everything.

I figure it would be rooted in a day or so. Once I get home from Ohio, I'll do my phone. I have all the files needed.

We will be right here waiting for you...whatever it takes...or how our hearts break, we will be right here waiting for you. hahahah what u doin in OH?

I figure that no matter what happens at this point, this is the last time I'm doing this. I have no plans to try and root again until after I get the Bionic. LOL

Haha. Im here for work. I travel here and there for work and have little downtime and i always need my phone on for on-call support. Ill be home friday night but goin back to work saturday for an install for the week.

I half wish I'd waited for this to come out (I knew it would be out pretty soon) but honestly the phone is working so well right now without root I think I'm going to hold tight with my OTA Gingerrbead X and see if another root method comes along - or if we have to SBF for a future update.

Still, very cool that we have the option now.
