New Google Assistant

So yesterday, I researched on how to activate the new Google Assistant on Pixel 3, which should have worked. I used to have my work account which is Microsoft exchange through the Gmail app. Didn't realize that meant having a g suite account on my phone. Long story short after removing my phone AKA the g suite account, my phone just boot looped and I had to data wipe everything! Start from scratch :-( now I have the Microsoft Outlook application on my phone and I did put the voice into English for Google Assistant and I still have the older Google Assistant on my phone. It works fine. However, I know that the newer Google Assistant is coming to older pixel phones. Has anyone tried this yet?
