For some reason I cant get it to install, everytime I try it gives a could not install error

I just got that same error myself. Is this new for you or is that pretty common? In my case, I have been having that problem ever since I installed Bumblebee' a couple of weeks ago. Sometimes an app updates fine, but usually I get a package error or install error.

Are you stock or are you running a Davlik-cache mod or anything?

right now I'm on bumble bee because I wanted to check it out let switch back to my restore which is Harmonia and I will give it a go.

Shouldn't matter google dosn't give a crap if its custom ROM or not just that its 2.2 or higher the carries such as VM and such are the ones who don't like custom ROMs

Ok got it to work but seems to only work on gingerbread based ROMS I'm sure once it officially releases it will be able to work on 2.2 ROMs

Okay guys im new to this forum, the new market works on optimus v. Im running ant3thos cm7 rom.

new market definately has a Windows Phone 7 feel, but it works in their favor. its clean, fun to navigate. shows you more apps. I really like it.

I hope google re designs all their Core android apps with a unified style.

I have no doubt they are working on that for the release of Ice Cream Sandwich.

I love the re-design! Always been a fan of Metro UI and this brings the simple, fun colors and easily scrollable menus that made me drool over WP7 when I first saw it. Good choice, Google!

Thanks it installed fine for me but I'm guessing it's in very early stages of development. It looks really messy and unorganized and when I go under My Apps, it says Facebook has an update but when I click on the app there is no option to update it. All I see is "Open" and "Uninstall". Needs some fixes but I'll keep it for now. Hope they make some cosmetic changes.

Does anybody know if I will have to install the next version of the market from a .apk file or will it automatically download it since I have the new one installed?
