New Google Play Services Update

Anyone receive the new Google Play Services update? If you have, is the battery life improved like promised? I'm just curious.

Find it in the "apps" section in settings and select it. If version # begins with 4.1 then you have the latest version.

That's the Google Play Store version. You have to check the Version of your Google Play services by going into settings... apps.

I've sideloaded many APKs and have not noticed any negative effects. In fact, I sideloaded this APK when it came out.

As for the topic, I haven't noticed much change in battery consumption on my Moto X.

I received the new Google play services today on my HTC one, it's showing 4.1.32, but I'm still on 4.3, was it to roll out to everyone or just kit kat?

Alright; the sideload works great! Installed it last night. Charged over night and right now I'm at 94% battery life. Same usage as yesterday. This is an improvement over Jellybean (already upgraded to KK). Although; my brother has the same phone as me and his updated automatically last night. I just couldn't wait any longer.

Just received the new play services update today. My battery usage went from 4% to 6% per hour to 1.1%! W00t!
I'd attach a screen shot but I can't figure out how with the Android Central app.

Unbelievably my battery life has become worse. Google Play Services went from 6th to 4th on the battery usage list. I hope that this is a fluke and doesn't continue.
