Just search for random topics. I searched Nexus 5 before it was released and now it gives me cards on kit Kat updates and such.

Yeah that part is working but I want the part that updates me on specific websites.

Actually, how do you configure ANYTHING?! On the last version I used to be able to select which cards I wanted to see (photo spots nearby, upcoming travel, traffic, etc, etc.) Now I'm only getting the option to set my Home and Work, set Weather preferences and Stock and Sports. WTF?

I updated my google search app from the play store last night. Now I am having issues when I touch the home button. I need to select my default launcher almost every time after I open an app and then press the home button. I can uninstall the google search update and it works fine but then I am using an older google search. Any Ideas how to fix this?

When you hit the home button and it asks you which launcher, there should be the choices of choose this everytime or just once. If not look in your device settings to set the default.

When I hit the home button I do have Complete action using and I have the choices. I choose a launcher and I hit always. But It does not keep this setting. I keep having to choose a launcher after I press home. Very annoying.

Dagold99 download Home Manager from Play Store. I just downloaded it and it works great.

Yeah but that only gives me a handful of options, I was able to select a lot of cards (like search results, packages, photo Ops nearby, flights, etc) and switch them on and off individually... After the update those options are now gone!

Dagold99 download Home Manager from Play Store. I just downloaded it and it works great.

Thanks Dragoro. Did you have the same problem? Not sure this will fix it. I saw in the google search reviews I am not the only one with this problem. Might just wait to google to fix.

Nah but I thought it might help. I just had a problem finding where i change the default. The app is free so it wont hurt to try it, ya never know!

Well now it knows I'm interested in the Nexus 5 and it keeps on taunting me with Nexus 5 articles.

It seems those options are now active by default and the only way to turn them off is by telling it so but only until a card appears. The website thing, according to Google's description, requires you to browse through Chrome and being signed into your account (and, of course, having browsing history synced). I suppose it takes the sites you visit the most and polls for new articles, but it's just a guess... so far I haven't seen any site updates, just stuff related to my Google searches.
