New GT...wanna introduce myself

Hi AC,

I have just bought me a GT and am very happy with my purchase. Got the last one on sale for $250 and it was definitely worth the money. Are there any faults or limitations the Tab has that I can be aware of now so I dont hold it to such a high standard at the moment. Thankyou.

I have to be honest for me the only real fault was the stock user interface but a quick download of GO Launcher fixed that. The only other thing that can be frustrating is how quickly the battery drains, I get at least a day out of it on heavy use days but still wish it lasted longer.

Yeah the user interface is a bit different from what im used to in the sense of android. I dont like the side swipe in the app drawer, i prefer a vertical swipe. I downloaded launcher pro but the fault there is it compacts all my wigets. My battery lasting a day is what I prefer. I dont expect more than that out of a tablet seeing as I use my most of the time Im out of work.

Check the settings/preferences of the launcher and look for the option for grid size, I noticed that my widgets were off sized as well. I use a custom grid size of four columns and seven rows, seems to work quite nicely.

Also, in the application folder you can set it up to scroll vertically.

The app folder in the launcher, I never tried it on the stock UI. The preference page for it is on the app folder page just hit the menu button.
