Hello everyone,

This summer is the first time I have owned a smart phone. Through a contract my mom and I now own Galaxy S5's.

I'm hoping on this board to get questions anwsered about my phone, and (while I've learned a lot in just messing around how to use it) to learn more about smart phones in general.

Right now my problem is with blocking websites.

I've tried to use the popular app Freedom, but it won't connect to my VNP/customer service there is slow.

While I love havin the phone, I can find it to be overly distracting. I'll probably start a thread about this another place later.

... then there are simple things like keeping the screen clean. I've tried the wipes for your glasses, but that hasn't really worked very well. I'm kind of cautious as to what to use.

You may want to put a screen protector on the phone. Better perhaps to clean that than to keep cleaning the screen itself. Others would disagree however.

When I had a GS5, I had it with Zagg's invisible shield glass protector. Loved it!
Since the GS6 Edge came out and I got one, my wife has been using the GS5.
She can't tell the difference between the glass protector and the phone's display. LOL

Welcome to the forums. As for cleaning the screen...I use a dry microfiber towel and just gently rub until all the oils from my hands is gone.

I know you just said that it will not be discussed, but could you send me to something that talks about it being illegal or explain that more.

The other method I tried was 127.0.0.1 thing which hasn't been working.

I finally have 10 posts so I can go to the Questions thread.

If the freedom app that you are referring to is the one which allows for free in app purchases then that would be stealing from Google /the developer. If you are referring to another freedom app,then so long as it is in the play store then it can be discussed. Please post a play store link and we can see if we can help.

Oh, I wasn't referring to anything like that. I was referring to the app called "Freedom" that will turn off the internet sites you choose for a certain amount of time. Here a link.

You have to purchase a premium version of it for it to work on smart phones, so that maybe part of the confusion I'm feeling. I have it, but their customer service never gets back to me. A thing will pop up asking to access you VNP, but then nothing happens.

I should probably just try something else.
