new HTC phone on Verizon?

Well, I convinced a cowork running ATT to upgrade to an HTC ONE X. Awesome phone. But after a week, it started to suck the battery dry. They replaced it for him. Awesome phone. But after a week it started to suck the battery dry, again. Running Battery Monitor on it indicates that the phone is pulling over 300ma from the battery with nothing running.
Bummer, I really like that phone. The screen is AWESMOE and is the BEST in direct sunlight that I have ever seen.

Verizon won't be carrying any of the One series. there isn't any real chatter about an upcoming high end HTC for Verizon as of yet. The only upcoming HTC phone that i know of is the DINC 4G, which is a mid range phone.

Verizon Wireless wont sell any phones from the current HTC One lineup

Current is the key word. They could repackage the One series into a Verizon-friendly handset and it would be 'new'. Blackmanx intimated a while back that Verizon was getting a Super OneX, but with a different name.

Tired of the signal drop hell lately; makes the phone almost unusable. battery/sim pull; wait; rinse and repeat. Razr HD Maxx, SIII or new iPhone possibilities... or grin and bear it to see if in fact NEXUS devices will arrive later this year to choose from

There's plenty of chatter about a new rumoured 5" 1080p device from HTC.

Google those keywords and there's quite a bit about this device.

This isn't it. The 5" device has on screen keys. This is clearly a one x descendant.

Clearly? How would you know it's a One X descendant? Any more details or just your gut feel? The only thing clear is that there's not nearly enough information about this device to have any clear idea.

Yeah, after this whole ICS fiasco, I'll be steering clear of HTC and getting the Galaxy Note 2 in Nov.

I'm intrigued by this phone, especially if it comes with the S4 Pro SoC. Two things that might make me wait for the next big thing after this are what looks to be a non-removable battery like with the One X and the SIZE of this phablet. I'm just not sure if 5" is too big. Plus, I'm waiting to see if Verizon gets the next Nexus, even though I'm guessing they won't after the way they've (mis)handled the Galaxy Nexus.

I'll never buy an HTC phone again personally. This phone is the worst decision I ever made. Note 2 can't come fast enough.

sent from my crappy thunderbolt. patiently waiting for the note 2...

I was very interested in this phone when info first started to leak out, but after seeing the Razr Maxx HD I'm not so sure. I think they are going to reveal this at their press event today. If it has a small battery and no removable storage I'll be going to Motorolla in November after my last 6 smartphones were HTCs. I just don't like the direction HTC is headed. I love my Thunderbolt and even with it's crappy battery life it's been a solid phone (still using launch day unit). If I'm gonna upgrade though I'm ready for I phone I can use and still not need to charge till I go to bed.

Ugh, all they announced was a couple of Windows Phone 8 handsets.

The TB was/is my first venture with Android. I hated the fact that the battery they shipped it with was way to small to handle what the phone is capable of. The Rezound battery fixed that for me. I'm really looking forward to HTC's "Phablet", even though I tried an S3. That is probably the smoothest stock phone I've ever tried. There is just something about the Samsung UI I'm not entirely sold on. Maybe the Note 2 will change that.

I read some post on here that the HTC 5" phablet coming out will be Windows based.......anyone know?
