Android Central Question

Hello everyone. I have just bought new Huawei p20 pro hoping it will give better battery time. However, within 2 days of usage I am starting to feel upset with my phone's battery I issue. After 100% charge the battery lasts for about 6-7hr only. And the usage includes only reading news articles, web surfing & may b few videos.

Plus all my settings are at minimum after watching a YouTube video on the same subject for this same device. My phone is on power mode with smart resolution. Network mode is 3G. Can someone please tell me if this is normal even I am not using it for heavy duty purposes like videos or games.

Many thanks in advance.

John

Welcome to Android Central! Charge up to 100%, then let it drain to 20-30% with normal usage, without charging in between. Then show us:

1. The main Settings>Battery screen.
2. The fullscreen battery graph screen (which shows Awake time and Cell Signal Strength).
3. The Screen category (to see total Screen On time).
4. The Cell Standby category, if present (to see Time Without Signal).

You might have to install a 3rd party battery monitor, like GSam Battery Monitor, to get the Cell Signal Strength graph.

8hrs Screen On Time with 34% remaining seems good to me!

It also says you get an average of almost 12hrs Screen On Time per full charge. That's great battery life

Yeah, I agree -- 8 hrs of screen-on time on one charge is unusually good. Most phones give about 4-5 hrs at best! If you're saying that the phone lasts only 6-7 hrs on standby, that'd be a problem, but if you're using it a lot, then that's not cause for concern.

I've also noticed battery drained after The EUI 9 update.

check some of the apps they allow you to upload your backup during or while you sleep at a certain hour while it's charged or plugged into the charger whatever sorry

Edit
My freaking GPS was on and I have no idea how it turned on there's no notification for i or you should see me some battery now just an FYI
