I think they may fail with that. If you want a phone with a pen why would you NOT buy a Note and buy an LG phone instead in its first interation when Samsung has such a stellar record with these products. That's asking for a beat-down.Sorry forgot the link..... They mention a G pen as a possibility....

I like LG products and have had good luck with them but I'd stick with the Notes.

I have a Note 3 and G3 now. I've never had any problem with my Note 3's and I'm on my 3rd (I kept selling them and then being sorry I did). The thing I notice about the G3 is that it's very lightweight and it performs quite well with Next Launcher.Understandable. I think given their history and marketing most people would agree with you. I had a love\hate relationship with my note 3 that turned into almost hate towards the end before I finally sold it.
The biggest disappointment was the accrual reception. I'd have trouble sending texts, dropping calls, and at points not even being able to place a call because "cellular network was not available." Tried 2 factory resets which brought on additional problems. My G3 has been flawless and I think it looks better than the Note series as well.
To be an effective Note competitor, IMO, it needs to be able to at least work seemlessly with Evernote (since it can't work with S Note) and offer a stylus that is as good as or superior to the Wacom based units in the Notes. Seeing as how Samsung has 5% of Wacom, that last bit may be a challenge. It would be cool if they made a note competitor with as close to a 6 inch screen as possible. I have a note 2 now and I have am upgrade in a few months. That is a lot in the tech world and will be nice to see what LG and Sammy bring to the table with phones in that size. 2015 is the year of the big phone. Ha
This. They will probably bring out their own G note like S note app. Who knows but I do like competition, this makes companies work harder for our dollar.
