New LG G2 owner with keypad issue

I just picked up the G2, coming off the Motorola Droid Razr (talk about no battery life). I got the phone home and tried to make an actual phone call to test out the speaker phone volume and quality. after placing the call I was unable to switch to speaker or end the call, all the buttons were grayed out. cycled the phone off and on 3 times before the buttons appeared as they should. Verified with Verizon that I have 3 days to swap the phone out for the same phone without incurring any charges. I'll be swapping this guy out tomorrow. Other than this little hiccup I really like the features of the phone.
