Received my new V30+ on Thursday. Set about installing the tempered glass screen protector i had pre-purchased and noticed a bubble in the top right quadrant. I couldn't smooth it out though. I thought maybe the screen protector was bad, but I removed it and it actually was fine. What I noticed is that screen has a valley over an inch long and because of it, he screen protector won't sit flat on the glass causing thay section to look like there is an air bubble underneath. I hit up T-Mobile and they told me I can return it for a regular V30 because they have no more V30+s available to them.
So I'm wondering if this might be because of LG's strategy with the V30S which is said to also have 128GB of storage but also 6GB of ram. I want this phone, but I also want to be able to protect it. I had a V20 and I'm pretty careful with my phones, but I did not immediately put a screen protector on it and ended up with a tiny phantom chip in the screen that was almost unnoticeable except for when your finger ran across it.
I already registered for the 2 year V30 promise so I guess I'm protected in that manner, but I wanted to see what everyone else's thoughts were. Bear in mind, I've had the Optimus G, G3, G4 and 2 V20s(different carriers). So I have no qualms with LG in general.
Oh, and my wife's V30+ came with a stripe of bad pixels down the screen (stuck white) so there's that I suppose, LOL. She got hers on Tuesday so I will be having her register with LG quick, fast, and in a hurry as well.
