New Lock Screen Pattern Dots not showing - Semi Solution

Guys,

This is maybe a Pie problem, maybe not. This morning when I got up, I went to unlock my S9+, the DOTS on the pattern screen weren't showing. I was already logged in because my s9+ knew it was at my address.

BUT when I went to the Screen Lock type and touched 'pattern lock' screen controls and tried to change the pattern setting, same thing, no no dots to guide the pattern with. After looking at the dot-less screen under a really bright light, I found that the dots were actually there, but the color of the dots was so close to the color of the background, they were almost invisible.

I changed my theme, and now I can see the dots. So I stumbled on a super crypto dot pattern hider. And a solution.

I don't know if this is an artifact of PIE, a known problem, an artifact of messing around with my themes or what. But if you get "dotless" change the theme until you can see the dots.

Thanks for the tip! Samsung's Pie update seems to have caused a bunch of theming problems when it comes to visibility of text and other items. It's mostly been noted with the Calendar and Messaging apps, but this is the first I've heard of it also affecting the pattern dots!

Guys,

Here are some test cases to try, all from Galaxy Themes.
Dark theme= Pink Three in the Forest by butterfly-effect GmbH. Dots are dark aqua on a dark purplish background.
Light theme = [Lyon] Pink Flower by Lyon Studio. Dots are black on a pale tan background.

Currently the workaround is using a lock pin on dark backgrounds and a pattern on light.
