In case you haven't been paying attention there is a new Android Market app floating around (see here: http://www.androidcentral.com/grab-...mpaign=Feed:+androidcentral+(Android+Central)), which sports a completely new UI and it's much better than the current phone version. I decided to take a leap and see how it fares on Honeycomb. It turns out to work surprisingly well. I don't believe it's specifically Honeycomb optimized, but Google's engineers were very good about following their own standards, so it scales extremely well. There doesn't seem to be a lot of wasted real estate like you see in most phone apps. Sadly there's no "Featured for Tablets" page though. But overall I'd say it's a big improvement in design and aesthetic.

Unlike on phones, this version doesn't actually replace your current Market app, so you'll have two separate apps you can use. The benefit here is that you're not stuck with the new app if you don't like it. Basically there is nothing to lose so try it out!

I love it on my tbolt not so much on the xoom but I left it on there so I can rub into my coworkers who all have iPad so I can brag about having two app markets while they only have one

this just like the honeycomb market just sized for phones. Its way to crowded for my taste

I wonder if this is only on a Xoom. My X only has the new market. Old one was replaced. Ill have to load to my Xoom later and see.

My guess is the Market app in Honeycomb is named differently or put in a different location so the new version doesn't see itself as an update but a fresh install.

Also, I've noticed that the 'My Apps' app was actually replaced with this. This new version is clearly not optimized for tablets so it puts a damper on things.
