New Market update

I just got my market update about 10 minutes ago. The Market logo looks different, which is how I knew I had the update. It will take some getting used to.
 
My market keeps force closing. I do not have the updated market. I did try to manually install it a few days ago though. Was I supposed to uninstall the old market before trying to manually install the new one? As it stands I cannot even use the market.

Please help.

I am running OMFGB 1.2.
 
I would uninstall the update you put on. The market should automatically update when it is pushed to you. There is no intervention on the users part, it just appears.

How can I uninstall the update? The only way I know how to do that is through the market...but that brings me back to my issue with my market not functioning correctly/force closing. Any ideas? :-\
 
Actually there are 2 things to try.

Boot into recovery and run Fix Permissions under Advanced in Clockwork.

If that does not work then in menu -> Settings -> Applications -> Manage applications -> All look for Market and uninstall update.

I have the new market update after it was pushed to me. I am currently having a problem of not being able to see the apps I have when I view "My Apps" from the market. I can only see three instead of the 42 that i have downloaded and use daily. This prevents me from getting any updates for the apps.

If I uninstall the new market update, then my apps all reappear and allow me to get updates. Problem is that within a few minutes the phone re-downloads the new update.

New market version that I keep getting that doesn't show apps is 3.0.27
Old market version that shows all the apps correctly is 2.3.6

There appears to not make a difference if the apps are on the phone or the SD card..neither type show up.

Anyone have any ideas or helpful hints?
 
The new market was pushed to my phone(s) as well . Sometimes I can update my apps but most times doesn't have that option to update , but it shows update is available.
When that happens the work around for me is to uinstall the update though the settings,which allows me to update the app(s).
Of course the next time I visit the market it has changed to the new market again,but at least I am able to do updates while its still showing the old market,and before it changes back to the new market.
I hope they fix this bug before long .

Edit update:
I dont have the issue of not being able not to see the apps I have tho all my apps do show with both markets, I dont have a clue as why yours dont so I'm no help there on that issue

The new market just got pushed to my phone today. Only problem is not seeing all my apps. Right now, it only shows Google Maps and Youtube but if I search for the app, I can do an update through there. I hope it gets fixed soon though..
 
The same thing is happening to me I just got off the phone with verizon and the told me that this would be a google issue and that they will keep of record of it to see if others call in with the same problem

Did you try tapping on Apps, then My Apps?

This is the same exact thing that is happening to me also. I have contacted Google Market support, and they said they have been getting multiple complaints of no apps showing. They are not sure why this is happening, but are investigating to learn more so that they can fix the issue.

Still a problem for me. The uninstall update only works for a short time and then the new Market re-installs itself. I just posted a complaint on the Market website. We'll see what kind of response I get.

Something happened today where suddenly I was getting app update alerts and all of my apps show up in the "My Apps" section of the market. Don't know if anyone else's got fixed but maybe they are pushing out fixes.
 
Same happened to me. I'm still on 2.2 with the new UIand saw my notification bar said I had 6 apps to update. I clicked on it and was asked to type a verification code. Did that & it updated & all of my apps disappeared from the my apps section & showed market version 3.1.5. I went to applications/settings/market & uninstalled the market update and it too me to a much older version that I had before the new UI. Then 5-10 minutes later the market updated itself again to 3.1.5 and now everything is fine. Very weird!
 
Try clearing market cache. I think some folks had success with that.

Has anyone had luck "clearing data" on the Market application since the Gingerbread update?

I know that clearing market cache AND data would fix issues with the market app acting up, sometimes force it to update itself, etc.

Since Gingerbread the "clear data" button for the Market app is grayed out.
