throw it on the sdcard or push it with adb and install it. You might get a force quit or two, but it should work.

Why isn't there any concern at all with the legitimacy of the update? Where is the info from Google? Why isn't there a direct download link from a legitimate site like google? Do you realize that someone could have taken the market binary, added some trojan code to it to send all the personal data on your phone to a server, and no one would ever be the wiser?

Google did officially announce the market update, and as with all market updates it is a "silent update," meaning it is supposed to update on its own. Not everyone has received the update yet, that's all. No need to be paranoid about it

But it appears that those of us who have not had the update pushed through whatever the random selection process is cannot sign into the paid section of the market. What an awesome feature, Google. I can't wait to write some paid apps for a company that willingly locks out paying users on a random, unnotified and uncorrectable basis...
