Just thought I'd introduce myself to this board. This is my second Android device after having been on the HTC Thunderbolt for the last two years. I can tell you this phone blows away that old 'bolt in every single way possible. I just love the fact that I don't have to carry a wall charger to work everyday now given how good the battery on this baby is. Also my music sounds so much better now be it via my headphones or playing in the car. Here's to a great future with my Razr Maxx HD.

Good choice. The RAZR HD lineup is damned good. Welcome aboard.

Glad you like the HD, Omaha. I'm in the same boat as you - HTC Thunderbolt, probably going to get the HD tonight.

A lot of us came from the Thunderbolt, which for its time was a great phone.
This RAZR Maxx HD works really well, I am very happy with coverage and how long the battery lasts. The two main appearance apps I like are Beautiful Widgets for all the clock and screen widgets available and ADW Launcher for the many ways home pages can be set up, real improvements to an already great phone.
I don't use it much as a phone ironically, 6 to 10 calls a week or so. I text a bit but mainly I stream audio and use it to tether a laptop and tablet. By the way, as I drive and stream with blue tooth to my cars stereo I plug it in to 12V, thereby preserving the battery for the times I need the battery, works well for me.

Thanks for the welcome. So far I've having fun with this phone. Got a mini HDMI to HDMI cable tonight and hooked it up to the TV to play some music and a video. I think I'm going to get into some serious mischief with this phone. LOL

Hey the colors look great on your TV! I have a Samsung too.....is that a plasma? :)

I have to try that.

Hey Omaha, are you on jelly bean yet?

If so, how are you getting it to look that good?

If not, don't upgrade - HDMI is funky on jellybean.
