New Member Here. NEED HELP PLEASE!!

I know on Nova launcher, I think you have to purchase it and install the Tesla Unread plugin, and you get the missed count for messages, calls, etc. Sense has very nice widgets, which you can replace with others but takes work to find the ones you like. Also, losing out on the lockscreen shortcuts was one of the things I missed. I think you CAN get those back if you are rooted- there is an app for that on XDA.

Sense Widget Replacements that I use-

Beautiful widgets for the Superclock (this can get the weather animations if you want them. I bet you turn them off after a while though :) ). With customization, I actually prefer BW due to being able to select apps for certain areas of the widget. Hit the minutes to open the widget config, hit the hours to open up whatever Time/Clock app (Gentle Alarm) and if you hit the 5 day forecast, you can have it open a specific weather app (The Weather Channel has a very nice hourly option I prefer).

Android Pro Widget to get the Contacts widget with frequency Sort.
Simple Calendar Widget for calendar Widget.
SwitchPro Widget to get notification dropdown toggles

With those widgets going, I did not miss the Sense Launcher anymore.

Try Settings Extended. It's the best in the notification drop down shortcuts area IMO

I use Nova launcher. It was "the thing" on the Gnex, which you almost needed an aftermarket launcher since stock android is a little lacking in the cool stuff, so I had already had it purchased when I went looking for an alternative. Sense has a lot going for it, with good widgets, integration in the lock screen, etc. But there is a noticeable lag in the UI when compared to either Nova or Apex, it is minor but it is there. I also missed the Voice Search shortcut- I use that all the time. It has primary placement on my screens in fact, and I could not get a satisfactory replacement on Sense. That led me to try Nova, and then I noticed the slight snappiness, and then the rest just happened :).

I like the HTC launcher but I don't like how you can continuously scroll or remove the dock and a cpl other things like transparent, etc.

There is a HTC weather widget that you can download. Looks similar but I don't think it has that cool animation.
