Hello group. I am one of the converts from the Blackberry storm 2 to the Droid Incredible. Only problem is I have not received it yet. That whole backorder thing. Just wanted to introduce myself. I have heard nothing but great things about the Droid and I look forward to chatting with all of you.

Thanks
Rob

Welcome to A.C., hope you get your device
shortly. I'm sure you'll love it.

Welcome, the wait was torture but undoubtedly worth it. If only I had decided sooner to get I wouldn't have had to wait so long. Enjoy!

Welcome this will be the only place you need to come to get all your questions and concerns once you get your incredible. The people here are great!

Welcome. I hope that you will have as good of an experience with the Inc that I have had. I too came from Blackberry and have for one second regretted making the move. Look forward to seeing you around the boards. :)

Thanks everyone. I look forward to using these forums on a daily basis. I know of at least 4 people that I work with who have switched and not a single one regrets it. I was told I have to wait until July 29th for my phone. But I spoke to a verizon rep yesterday and they told me that the main office has 29000 in stock so they will be trying to get me one by the end of the week. I hope they come through!

One quick question. I want to get an extra battery for the phone. I know I can get a battery from Verizon and Amazon(Sedio make one) I see that Ebay sells batteries for quite a bit less. Does anybody trust those batteries? I am a little leary putting one of those batteries in the phone but the price is much less?

Welcome hope you get yours soon,I would make sure it wasnt some off the wall name battery tho .You got a cool phone no use to cut courners now :p just for battery .
I got an chrging pod thing and a car charger instead instead of a battery for now.It took a month to get mine from when I ordered it (got it friday). It was worth the wait tho I had a blackberry curve 8330(still have as backup).

I was going to link, but there are a ton of posts about batteries... So it will probably be easier for you do 3 searches of this forum for 3500, 2150, and 1750, instead of coming back to this post to keep clicking the links. You'll get several posts where there are plenty of reviews of the extended batteries and you can pick out the info you need.

Also, you're going to have to decide what size battery you'll need. If you're a power user, the larger batteries, 2150 and 3500, will probably be the way to go. If you're a light user, the 1750 or another stock (if you don't mind switching batteries) might be fine.

I also can't speak for any other batteries except the OEM from HTC 2150 and the Seidio 3500, but the majority of the people here seem to stick with OEM's or Seidio... So, enjoy the research, and take your time. Pick what will work best for you and not what "everyone else" is doing...
