New Moto X User

Hey Moto X users. I recently broke my OnePlus One and I was on a budget so I decided to get the 2014 Moto X Pure Edition (Only $325!). I know the software is a big plus on Motorola phones but I really love Cyanogenmod so I plan on unlocking the bootloader and installing TWRP right when I get the phone so I can flash the most recent Nightlies of CM13 (which I had on my OPO). However, I'd like to hear your guy's opinions about the stock Motorola software and what you really love about it. Who knows, maybe you'll convince me to restrain from flashing CM as soon as I get the phone. I'd like to hear anything you guy's have to say!

I can't live without Moto Display. I also love the various gestures like chop for flashlight and twist for camera. They work remarkably well. Being able to assign any launch phrase to your phone and asking it questions even when the screen is off works very well.

What Luke said. Moto's software is stock Android with a few useful apps and features added in. It's about as pure as you can get without actually running stock. That alone is reason enough for me to use it. If you're experienced with ROM flashing though, nothing preventing you from jumping back and forth as you see fit.

Ok I'll stick with the stock software for awhile and see how I like it. I just got the phone today and am loving it so far. I got the natural leather with black front and red accent and it looks and feels great!
