Hey guys looking for alittle help here and not sure it's possible to do it or not.

Got this watch for my birthday today and I love it. Been doing a lot of reading and just trying to get used to it. It's charging right now because I need to do the update.

So while it's charging I thought I would come here and ask some questions.

I am not a big fan of the text messages and emails showing on the screen soon as I raise my wrist. Is there a way to have it now show a message preview till I swipe?

And the ambient mode is the entire watch face that I have set it just a black an white dial?

Also the weather part of the watch face doesn't work because it says o have location services for the app turned off on my phone. Guessing this is a limitation of being an iPhone user?

Thanks for all the help everyone and I am looking forward to being a regular here!

Cheers

Not sure about the location issue since you have an iPhone.

Yes, ambient mode on most watch faces is usually black and white, and simpler than the full face. That depends on the face you're using though; some still use at least some color in ambient. You'll find ambient mode in the 360 can look blocky with some faces, and shadows and colors badly off. I tend to use faces that are new-360-friendly, and they look pretty good in ambient.

As far as notifications, they always pop up. It's how Android Wear works.

Fixed the weather issue, I needed to run the update and once that was done it fixed that.

Disappointing that they can't turn off the preview on a message. Sometimes it's a privacy concern. I know the iwatch you can do that.
Hopefully they realize that and work on adding it in an upcoming version.

Plus they need to figure out how to add wifi for iPhone users also.

But so far it's not so bad....

Thanks for the help.

Considering that you're getting pretty much full functionality from an Android product on your Apple phone, that should count for something. This is not a dig mind you; just an observation. In fact, I do appreciate your privacy concerns, and while I never considered that in the past, I do now, and appreciate that you brought it to my attention. It's very valid, and I'd be willing to bet real money that Android will add that option in the future: Android Wear is constantly evolving. It's nice to have an Apple owner in the Android forums as a "user", and your thoughts and observations are very welcome from this Android user.

Well considering there isn't any other place to come for help with Android Wear I am happy to provide my opinion and will accept help and give it when I can.

The watch basically is functional for alerts and reading them. Beyond that the Heart rate monitor, step tracker and distance tracker work also.

Anything that can be displayed in Notifications on the iPhone will show on the phone, so I get my iMessages, BBM messages, email, Tapatalk notifications, and my Sports score updates etc.

Would love to see Google find a way to allow iPhone users the ability to access more watch faces but I would think this will come one day.
