New Motorola Xoom WIFI Owner - front facing camera issues

Just received my Xoom from Newegg.com a few days ago and experiencing difficulty with front facing camera. No ISO settings. The current imagery is dark and grainy and requires a great deal of light. This was totally unexpected for a device designed for mobile communication. Motorola advised me to reset the device which is as destructive process to data and settings. They told me that it should be a clear crisp picture. To date I haven't seen this. The 2nd option is to ship it back to NewEgg.Com. Any thoughts?

Well, if you just got it a couple of days ago, there is no harm in doing a factory reset. If that doesn't fix it, I would try and get an RMA setup with them to get a new one.

Also, if you know anyone else with a Xoom, you could sit next to each other and both of you bring up the camera to compare, if the camera displays the same, then, you at least know it's not defective and the device just doesn't meet your standards. If they appear different, then, you know your device is faulty and can get a new one from Newegg VIA RMA.
