Any of you guys that are just getting shipping notifications..... did you get backorder mails? Or were just in limbo/waiting?

I never received a backorder email. I've just been sitting in limbo the entire time until about 10 minutes ago.

I got this email today from Google Play support. I was one of people who ordered within minutes of go live.

Thank you for writing back and for your patients. At this time I still do not see anything regarding the tracking information. I have been updated on some information with this issue though. Any order that didn't receive the backorder email will be receiving their device's tomorrow. Just for safety measures I sent this over to a specialists in the shipping department to take a look into this.

In the meantime, if you come across any other information that you'd like to pass along, please feel free to reply to this email. Your responses will automatically go to the specialist working on your case.

It really bothers me they can't spell patience... Maybe I'm too critical

One of my two orders has moved to Shipped. Yay! And... just while I was writing this I got the shipped e-mail. I noticed the change to shipped about 10 minutes ago, so there is definitely a lag in the e-mail coming out first. The first thing to be updated was my Google Wallet order page.

I also want to note that the one that shipped had its order modified date changed to Nov 19th yesterday, while the other order didn't change until later in the day, so it seems like that order date change yesterday did indicate preparing for shipping. Hopefully that means my other order will ship out later tonight as well.

I called the Play support number and spoke to someone. They said I'll get a notification tonight and that it should be shipping tomorrow. Lo and behold, within an hour, I got the tracking number email! I ordered at exactly noon on the 13th.
