The date part in the play store settings is the "when your order was last updated" date. Mouse over it to see.
So i think thats a good sign
i really hopethe date not changing doen't mean an extended stay in limbo land
I'm a pretty die hard Google/android fan, I've owned 7 android phones in the last 3 years.
But, this entire experience has been down right pathetic and has me second guessing if I should be using any Google services or products at all. If it's this hard for them to keep track of some orders, it doesn't exactly inspire confidence in using gmail/wallet to store my important data. My place is in escrow and possible closing as early as this Friday or maybe sometime early the next week. When I ordered(at 8:36am) I figured even with 7 business days I would have the phone no later than Wednesday, and it was in-stock; not available for pre-order....I called CS and they said I'd have a shipping confirmation email by tomorrow, which led me to have a little faith. Then, the second I got off the phone I received an email stating I'd have within the next 3 week window, WTF?! Downright lying and being deceptive is not a way to run a business, whether it's their "main thing" or not. Apparently they need to hire some Amazon or Apple employees who don't have their heads in their asses and can actually slap a sticker on a box and ship it off; it's not rocket science. Like others have mentioned, put the orders in an excel sheet and order by timestamp and work your way down the list..wow hard.
GL to everyone and I hope you get some morsel of info.
Yea I get what your saying but. Its been pretty much determined that the CSR know nothing more than we do. they can't really ship in a first in first out way it's just not practical. What isn't right is people who ordered first getting back ordered. When the orders came in it should have electronically sat a phone aside.I'm a pretty die hard Google/android fan, I've owned 7 android phones in the last 3 years.

any amount of money says they'll send me a nexus 7 now.
Yeah, my order got updated to Nov. 19. Hopefully this means that it will ship today. I'm crossing my fingers!
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Android Central Forums
I'm hoping the same, although they do take 2-3 days to process, then 2 days to ship. That means shipped out Wednesday or Friday, won't recieve it until Monday or Tuesday next week. BUT if for some ODD reason it decides to ship tomorrow, that would be great. Lol.
