New Nexus 4 purchase: Anyone get a shipping notification or tracking number?

Just for the heck of it called the CSR again this morning to find out about the date changes to 17th and 19th, and this is what i heard from John, If the order date is still 13th, you are on the safest train, your shipping labels are ready with the old date and hence they did not update your date on wallet or playstore... your order will ship today for sure, and for those whose order is changed to 19th, will ship after 3 day processing or maybe placed on backorder until the stock arrives. This is what that guy had to say, i am not sure if he is right... but it definitely screws us up ....

*EDIT* - Can someone else call and find out the same? This guy seemed to be very confident in his reply.

I also talked with a CSR about 1/2 hour back because my order date changed from 13th to 19th. He told me that the date changed because the order was processed and will ship today (19th Nov).

Seriously man... these CSR's can be trained to direct the next best movie.... idiots keep telling different stories, i don't know why they want to f**k with us

Seems pretty evident they have no clue what they are talking about. Notice how they seem to tell everyone what they want to hear? In my field if I don't have an answer I find the answer, google CSR just makes answers up.

I checked my bank account online and between Friday night and Sunday afternoon the Pending Charge Date changed from 11/13/12 to 11/19/12.

My Play Order changed to that date, and my status is still "complete" (ordered at 3:00pm EST).

No changes with my Wallet.

I too got the date changed this morning to November 19th.

I honestly thing calling CSR is useless.

When I called yesterday the rep tells me : "it looks like your order will ship on Monday".

I tell him: "that's great, considering I got the 3 weeks backordered email"

He says: "oh.. You got that email, the sorry, sir, your order may take the full 3 weeks"

WTF....

I just got done with CSR and talked to the specialist, if he was. He said "I m sorry sir, you may not have got a backorder email but your order is in backorder"
Me: So what now. I m supposed to leave the country by next Tue.
CSR: You can cancel the order.
(might as well me to go eat s***)
Me: Not done.
CSR: Well, what can i say, we are out of phones. We just dont have phones to send anymore right now

FML.

That's it,.. will wait for today evening and i am cancelling the order.... will spend the money on a better dslr... seriously f**k you google for ditching your loyal customers...

Unlike you, mine did change to the 19th. I called late and spoke to a CSR because the first CSR I spoke to said I was definitely not on back order. The second CSR I spoke to over the weekend said that my order should arrive (not ship. arrive!) on Monday or Tuesday. Then last night she told me my order hadn't shipped. I asked her if she was sure and she said she doesn't see anything that would indicate that my order had shipped and that they don't ship over the weekend. I asked her to clarify her position that the previous CSR had lied to me. She put me on hold and spoke to someone else and came back and told me she was wrong and that the tracking numbers weren't going out, as the previous CSR had told me. Then she pulled the specialist/email stuff. So now two CSRs have confirmed that my item has shipped. I still seriously doubt it.

Edited to add: And I call because I like to see what different CSRs tell me. I only call very late so there is no wait.
My guess would be that it does (mean something). That's probably why, after seeing that mine hadn't changed and after putting me on hold for two minutes, the CS rep came back and said she would elevate my order to a specialist.

Hey guys, been a lurker of this site for about a year now. Today, I finally joined because I wanted to join the "Great Wait" for the Nexus 4 with you guys lol

So here's my story...

I tried to buy a 16gb nexus 4 from the tmobile store last Friday the 16th. Of course, they were sold out :( But the tmo rep reassured me that I could simply order the phone via tmobile telesales and have it shipped to me in 2-4 days. Knowing about the back-order debacle, I took this with a grain of salt but decided to proceed with the plan just to entertain myself. So the tmo rep called telesales for me and I placed my order over the phone. She mentioned the phone was on back-order but reassured me that it would ship early this week. Seeing no other option, I proceeded with the plan.

Later that day, I received an email from tmo stating that my order had been received and is being processed. I saw that as progress, so I was satisfied. Later that evening, I checked on the status again (on tmobile.com) just for fun. I was surprised to see that the phone had shipped and would arrive by the end of the day on Tuesday, 11/20; I had a tracking number and all! :D

Fast forward to this morning, my phone arrived in South Charleston, WV at 8:00am and departed at 8:19am; everything is on time! It is shipping to my apt in Gaithersburg, MD so it's actually quite close already.

Does anyone know why tmobile telesales was able to ship out my phone faster than the Google Play orders that were received waaaaay before my Friday the 16th "last-minute-ish" order? I was pondering that one all weekend. Also, what exactly does "End of Day" on 11/20 mean? Like 5pm? 6pm? 10pm? If anyone knows an accurate range, I'd really appreciate it!

Last question, has anyone else here ordered from tmo telesales? I feel like I'm the only one in my good-fortune boat :-/

T-mobile sells mobiles on a day-to day basis for a living... so they have a very good logistics team to handle the orders, unlike google who would invest money in software teams and not logistics... they don't ship mobiles every day... but its only the bad communication that irritates people...

Are you going to use an ATT sim or tmobile? ... can you post some speedtests...

I think that the order date is changing so the placeholder charge will stay in your bank account.
It would make a big mess even bigger if they sent out a bunch of phones to people who didn't have enough $ in there to cover it.
Also that 3 week time frame is just to cover their ass. It'll be sooner.

For what its worth I (respectfully) chewed out a CSR. She said none of the limbo orders that haven't shipped will be paying for shipping. I hope she's telling the truth.

I think UPS "End of Day" is purposefully vague because when they stop delivering is based upon how busy they are. Could be 5pm could be 7 pm and could be later during holidays.

Is Sylmar, CA a shipping hub?
Also anyone know how much one phone weighs shipped?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

an 8GB weighs 1.1 lbs
an 16GB weighs 1.1lbs
Two 16GB weighs 1.9 lbs

Still looking for the weight of one phone and one bumper. My tracking info says my order weighs 2.5 lbs. It will have at least one phone and one bumper (hopefully it will also have the second phone and bumper that have been sitting in limbo)

How did they conclude that? Was your date changed to "Nov. 17" in your Play Store today?

No nothing changed. Ordered on the 13th and supposedly shipping on the 15th. Of course that didin't happen! but nothing changed.

Someone with a phone and bumper previously mentioned that their package weight was 2.5 lbs
