A 5 inch 1080p phone? I'll pass on that battery hog. Besides being a brick and needing a huge battery (and probably be thicker), that screen size is too damn BIG. I hate the screen size on the evo lte (probably because the Buttons take up a lot of space), so a 4.6 inch phone will be the biggest I'd get.

I agree I don't get the phablets, they seem pointless to me. I gotta be able to use the phone one handed and quite frankly my vivid is a bit rough 1 handed and its only 4,5! I'd really like to see a nice 4 inch nexus, 4 is about the perfect size really

I just saw my first Note in the wild and I was extremely intrigued. Don't know if I can do it, but it does look interesting.

Why are so many people wanting small screens?....4 in?? Does everyone wear skinny jeans or something? What pockets are phones like the current Nexus not fitting in? They fit well in my lab coats, shorts etc. It would be nice to have a choice but 4 in is just too small. I would love to entertain the idea of a Nexus phablet.

I used to think the same way the original person thinks when I had my Thunderbolt and Rezound. They were so thick and heavy that I just assumed that any phone bigger would be too big. That is until I got my Razr and now I want BIGGER! Even with the big frame of the RAZR it STILL fits in the pockets of my skinny jeans. Getting it in and out of your pockets comes down to how thick the device is and how much it weighs not the actual screen size. Now that I love the RAZR I'm definitely looking into something bigger like if Verizon gets the Note 2 or of this new Nexus device goes to Verizon.

The thing that intrigues me about bigger screens is the ability to have multiple windows/apps going and visible like the Galaxy Note 2. I hope that becomes a standard Android feature rather than only Samsung. I'd like that and wireless charging. Where I could see wireless charging come in handy is a car dock with wireless charging. It could be a universal dock that could accept various phones, phones with a case and could be docked easily with one hand because you don't have to line up a microUSB plug. You could use Bluetooth for connectivity.

There was nothing wrong with the 4 inch screen on my captivate. I dunno maybe it's because I have a tablet now, but I don't use my phone much for games, or video anymore, and the whole repositioning your thumb thing becomes more of a pain the larger it gets from 4. 4.3 isn't bad either. 4.5 is a tad to large as I'm finding from my vivid. Thats me anyway, I'm not saying stop making larger screens, I'm saying I wouldn't mind a smaller model too. The rumor is anyone can make a nexus device now so there's room for smaller models too imo.

Like I said before, my Razr has a 4.3 inch screen and I used to think that was huge but I adjusted. Now that the new Razr HDs are being released with 4.7 inch screens in the SAME body frame I want to see what it would be like to have a 4.7inch plus device, and if the next iteration of Motorola devices (or any other device) go edge to edge they could easily top 5 inches. As long as the device is slim and lightweight its no problem in jeans / shorts / or any other type of clothing.

probably because video is so much better....surfing the internet is so much better....playing games is so much better etc etc. I agree that we should have choices but c'mon...4 inches?? Just how tight are your jeans??
I agree that 5 inch and higher is really starting to push the line but the ones we have out now, like the Nexus, S3 etc are at a good point for size.
