I will be receiving a Nexus tomorrow as a replacement for my droid charge and want to know what can I expect. Battery Life, Call Quality, etc. I was offered this or a HTC rezound did I make the right choice?

I would say yes you made the right decision. I love my nexus. Good luck

No phone is perfect, and while the GNex has it's flaws, ICS is the real star for me. I can't tell you how much better than Gingerbread it is. It feels like a completely different OS. You'll love it!

^^ This. I have a Razr Maxx that I was using until I got this issues worked out with the Nexus. I hate going back to Gingerbread. ICS on the Nexus is awesome, and will always be the best ICS experience. Moto, HTC and the like will put their skins over it, which there really is no need to do.

Battery life will be average. Mine has been lower lately because I can't put the phone down. I see you are in Cleveland, so you shouldn't have signal issue and your call quality will be good. It's just an overall, solid phone that's been underrated by some.

Great phone. As the previous member had said, no phone is perfect. There seems to be a few bad batches, where there were some issues with the phone. I on the other hand did not experience any of those problems.

Best part, doesn't come with any of the bloatware that is common with other phone carriers/phone. Best phone I've owned to date.

Can you tell if a phone came from a bad batch by the numbers in the back? I bet they didn't change hardware since release.

3g works great on mine 4g sucks since it will have speeds up to 31MBPS then drop conection for 2-3 mins. standing under a f*cking verizon tower....

You have a bad one, swap it. You have a year warranty, why not use it?

You made the right choice. First thing you should do is unlock the bootloader. What you want to do after that is up to you. Some folks root and install a custom ROM, some stay stock.

Not 100% sure if there is a way to find out? Its all about trial and error? I'm on my second Nexus. My first one had some minor issues with android's voice search feature. Where it doesn't work when I spoke into it. Took it back to vzw for technical support... wasn't able to fix the issue. They deemed it was a software issue and swapped me a new one. Works like a champ ever since.
