Hello, as a requirement for the Forum, i am here to introduce myself. I just got a Nexus S 4G, i switched from a Palm Pre (Original one) on Sprint. and i have to say i miss it already. i am just here to get more information about Apps, and tweaks to get my Nexus S 4G as close as possible to the things i loved about my Palm Pre.
i have a couple of questions:
1) Which App will bring me that Synergy i miss so much from WebOs, specially when i want to SMS and IM all in the SAME app. I want be able to choose where to send my message without leaving my conversation. Any suggestions?
2) Which App or tweak ( i know i probably will have to root the phone) so that i can clear individual notifications without having to actually acknowledge the notification. For example, if i get three notifications about E-Mails and two about SMS and one about Facebook. How do i Clear or better yet delete emails FROM the notification bar without having to go to the Email App?. I hope you understand what i mean.
3) How do i remove unwanted stock apps? i have no use for the Google Books or the Gmail App when i have the E-Mail App which lets me sync all my accounts including Gmail.
4) How do i customize the launcher so that it is not in alphabetical order but instead organize my Apps by type. IE: System Apps, Games, so on and so forth. and on the same token, how do i customize or change Icons? some of the Stock Icons are plain UGLY!
5) i have NO LED Notifiations on the NEXUS S 4G.
6) i was told not to use the App called App Killer to terminate Apps as they keep running in the backround. what do you guys recommend??
7) the stock Photo Gallery App is weak. Any third party suggestions?
8) and any other tips are more than welcomed, thank you.
