New Phone - Battery Life + Fingerprint

I have a Galaxy S6 right now. It works fine other than the battery life has been abysmal lately (I use almost totally for texting and email and my phone is dead by around 4 or 5 pm).

I started looking at new phone options. I'm not worried about price. Battery life is my biggest want. Screen size isn't that important, most phones are 5-6 inches which would work fine for me anywhere in that range.

One thing I DO want to maintain is the front fingerprint scanner though. I've seen a lot of phones are moving it to the back, and I've paid attention to my usage lately and feel like that would be a big hassle for me.

Any suggestions?

How about the Moto G5 Plus? Great battery life, and front fingerprint sensor. I got one for my wife, and she loves it (after having a Note5).

Thank you for the suggestion. Looking into it this is a solid option. I am a little bummed it doesn't have a notification light (why is there always something missing from a phone to keep it from being exactly what you want?!?) but that is lower on my list of needs than the others. The price is definitely right as well (although I'm ok spending more for the right phone).

Any other suggestions send along, but this is definitely on my list of possibilities!

Oneplus 5? I don't have direct experience with the phone, but I've only heard good things about it.

I looked at this one, unfortunately it isn't supported on Verizon. Otherwise I think it may have been the right fit.

The S6 has an abysmal battery size. Like just 2500mah. Current phones like the S8 arr sporting 3000mah, and that's considered on the low side for a flagship.

If battery is the concern, I'd look at S8, S7E, Moto Z Force (2016). But then any Moto will do as long as you get a battery Mod.
