New phone. Just put in pattern and can't remember it so locked out?

Just got a new Samsung s7 phone. Still using my previous I phone. I haven't changed the sim over yet. As I Have forgotten my pattern to open my Samsung, so can't even open it.

You need to force a factory reset, so yes everything will be deleted. Just make sure you also know the password of the Google account you used, otherwise it's a paperweight now.

Or you can try adb, (rooted, and or fastboot)

adb su
adm rm /data/system/gesture.key

like this, you won't loose data
