New Saturation Settings (Thoughts)

Night mode with saturation makes my eyes bleed.

I'm going to try to use the saturation mode for the next couple of days

I don't get why people are complaining about not getting updates and having to resort to geeky tricks to get it!!
Isn't the point of having pure Android being not worrying about updates in the first place??? I'm a techie myself but I feel I don't have to deal with this **** in this phone!
God! Sometimes I wish I was just the typical dumb Apple fanboy...

Isn't the point of getting a Pixel is that you should be getting timely updates? Are they still testing out the November update such that they aren't sure that everyone should have it yet? Is anyone having problems with their phone after the November update?

Patience, define timely . . Getting it within a week or two or even three is "timely" compared to waiting six months or more or never getting it at all . . .

See post above this, sheesh, you guys need some real life problems to give you some perspective if this is the kind of thing that makes you cuss and get angry . . .

I got the update. Does anyone know how to wipe cache partition? Recovery mode doesn't seem to have it anymore.

Yeah we all have our different levels of tolerance, you just have tio deal with that too.

So... got the update and wanted to see the difference. I opened up a webpage in Chrome in split-screen with the Color Setting menu to be able to easily switch profiles and observe the difference without having to tab back and forth.

Of the three, I still prefer the Natural setting overall (though the 'boosted is pretty close'), and find the Saturated as annoyingly unrealistic as I've felt most other displays have been for years. But... at least now people can make their choice.

An interesting observation, though: among the 3 settings, anytime you switch from or to Saturated from one of the other settings, it forces the Chrome tab with which it was splitting the display to refresh - but not when switching between Boosted and Natural.

I LOVE the saturated colors. The only downside to that mode is that the whites take on a yellow-dingey hue...

Oh well.

Agreed! I actually started to get used to the original/boosted setting and I'm almost finding the new saturated setting to be too much/too Samsung like, LOL. Too bad they couldn't make a slider to more smoothly transition between the various saturation levels. I shouldn't complain, tho, as Google did a great job responding to the feedback and quickly gave us more choices. ??????

After the Nov update on Pixel 2 XL what are your thoughts on the Saturation Settings.

I have found that the Boosted works best for me. I like the Saturated setting except I think it makes white backgrounds look to red.

I'm on saturated.

Tried Saturated and everyone on my Facebook feed has an orangey reddish bronze hue on their skin which looks very unnatural. All red icons seem to bleed and all whites has an old-paper yellowish tint.
Using Boosted now. I like the slightly enhanced version of how we normally see things effect.

Used Boosted the whole day since getting my phone. Tried Saturated mode this morning, it was good for a while but can get rather overwhelming after some time
