New SD card questions

As a new member of the Droid X club I have something I can't quite figure out.

Today I picked up a 32GB card for the phone, plugged the phone and the card into my laptop (mac) and did a drag&drop of everything on the phone SD card over to the new SD card - I had a bunch of music mainly. After the transfer I swapped out the cards.

The first thing I noticed was that I lost some game apps from my app drawer. When I go to the app market to my downloads it shows the games but doesn't say 'installed' just 'free'.

Any idea why this might be?

I did a search on the forum and didn't find anything, sorry if this has already been asked.

Ok so lets take a stab at this, please try the following and let me know what the result is

Settings>applications>manage applications>market> clear cache

Try that. If that does not work repeat the above process but this time hit the uninstall updates button. Let it uninstall then reboot

This means they are no longer installed on your X. Just download them again. Same applies for those apps you purchased. If they disappear and the Market shows "purchased" instead of installed, it means they aren't on your X and you can download without paying again.

I think this is where I am getting confused. I didn't uninstall the programs. Shouldn't the programs have been installed onto the phone instead of the card? Even still, when I copy everything to the new card?

Just a little confused why it would go away like that.
