New SD Cards?

Hey everyone, just wondering what specs I'd need for a new SD card for the Note20 Ultra?

I'm coming from a Note10+, and the memory card is a couple years old. I remember when the N10+ first came out you couldn't record in 4k to the card because of the write speed. Is thee anything new that I have to look for, for a compatible card to write directly to the SD card?

Any info is appreciated!

I have the Samsung Evo+ 512GB and have had no issues recording 4k to it from my Note 10+.

U3/V30 or higher for 4K. If you plan on 8k, you'll prolly need something faster.

Not sure if it will be different on the Note20 Ultra but on the S20 series when recording at anything abover 4k 30fps, it will save to internal storage. So the write speed of the SD card doesn't really come into play unless you are transferring the footage after capturing it.

How extra memory do you need? I guess its good to have it on a memory card in case the phone dies but my stuff is backed up to Samsung, one drive, and google drive that I am sure I don't need to worry about having a memory card.

You may not be able to record to the SD Card directly but once it saves to Internal can't you just move it to the SD card afterwards??

Well, none of my stuff will save to those cloud services because its more than the cloud storage allows. Thats why I want to have it save to the SD card, instead of having to make sure I move it.
