Got my new Sensation yesterday and am having 2 major problems.

1)Vibrate does not work. Not just for notifications, but even if I put the phone in Vibrate mode with the vibrate icon show in the top tray, when a call comes in I get the call on the screen but no vibrate.

2)WiFi is absolutely horrendous. If I go more than 15 - 20 feet from the router, it drops the signal. My previous phone would pick up the wireless walking down the street about 300 yards. I have laptops that work fine all over the house so it is not the router. It has also showed very poor wireless in multiple locations with wireless so it's not particular to my house.

3)WiFi problem is exasperated if I put a case on the phone. I'll go from 3 or 4 bars to 1 or zero with a case on it. It's not the TPU case that there have been problems with. However the WiFi is still very weak even if the phone is "naked"

Now I've contacted T-Mobile and they are sending me another next week, but I'm desperately hoping that I did indeed just get a defective phone and it's not a design flaw.
How is everyone else's WiFi reception on the phone. Does my experience sound typical?
Looking for some reassurance here that I haven't made a mistake!
One additional note, with the case on, the mobile network signal does seem to okay. The Mobile reception is overall maybe a tad less than my previous phone. Not really worried about that, but the WiFi is a big concern since that is what I'm dependent on more often than not.

Try the cure-all (factory reset) to see if it fixes things. My WiFi signal is as strong as my Nexus S, and I've never had a problem with Vibrate.

When I first got it the notification LED's were not working and I did a factory reset, that fixed that but I'm not really keen to do a second one within 24 hours. Hopefully the replacement being sent me works out better. My hunch is something in the circuit board is not right hence the lack of vibrate and the weak wifi signal. The Wifi is almost like the antenna system for it is not working or connecting properly. I'll cross my fingers the new one should be here Monday or Tuesday.

My WiFi was ok but the update helped out a lot. My WiFi always seemed to drop if I held the phone in landscape mode. Many others reported this too. My very first Sensation had ZERO WiFi issues. I think its hit or miss. Try installing the latest update by going to Settings, About Phone, then HTC Updates. Good luck.
