New Skin for the forums - your feedback essential!

Keep THANKS, LIKE, MULTI-QUOTE, QUOTE, REPLY and QUICK PREPLY. Ditch News Tip.

I don't like the new proposed look at all. Sure it's clean, but, it isn't very clear where one post ends and another begins. Maybe the colors just need some tweaking. I generally prefer a simple UI anyways, no need to gloss things too much. Then again, maybe it's just the way the forum displays on the OPs box, could look a bit different on mine.

And, I don't like the way the font looks. For all I know it's the same font, just in bold, but, it doesn't look good on the screen.

I am always one for change, so, this isn't me just being all "wah" about change, I just think the forums look great the way they are, and, the screenshot posted is in no way an improvement IMO.

I guess I'm okay with the moving of the quote/reply button and like/thanks button, but, I am disappointed to see the lack of multi-quote. :'(

I'm delighted you're taking the time to both work on the forums and ask for feedback. Go for it is what I say!

I really don't know what's better at the time most of my browsing is done on my galaxy prevail. Being a boost mobile entry level android in Da area I'm n I barely get that pages to load in a timely manor.

Personally I use the Thanks, Like, Multi-Quote, Quote, Reply and Quick Reply functions and I've seen others use them as well. Honestly though I've only ever clicked the News Tip button accidentally.

As for the rest of the changes in Phase one however, I like the new look ^_^

I am not too fond of multi quote.
Hahahaha You got one post, you made me LOL for real!

Multi quote is a valuable tool to a user that is properly using the tools provided to them. If you come into an area with multiple posts of the same situation or very similar its a nice feature to have.

News tip.. I think this is a feature we can live without.

For the love of God put multi quote back.

click the box above the image to see the image to see it in full size. Worked fine for me

Sometimes change is good and improvements show responsibility of the owners of the forums to notice areas in need of an update, people raising complaints / issues, listening and taking action. Kudos to you guys. Hats off. It's never easy when people who are complacent see change, but in the end it sounds like it will all work out for the better. I applaud you! :)

As for those to features, mult-iquote never worked for me (and perhaps others) and news tips, I never understood it's purpose. There for I sure would not be missing either one! Best of luck with the upgrades!

I'm fairly new to this forum and the features that I'm just about to list may already exist here (my apologies for the lack of knowledge) but this is what I'd like to possibly have on this forum:
1. Currently in order for me to see latest reply for my post I need to go : login > search > Find my Threads.
Would that be possible to take me to my Threads right after I login?
2. When I open my thread, could the replies be sorted in DESC order so I will see the latest respond first?
3. For some reason I'm not getting an email notification when new replies posted to my thread.
I’m guessing that particular email would have a direct link to my thread, correct?
I think if the issue # 3 would get resolved that I should forget #1 and 2 then.
Thank you

I can see clearly now. Well, I do think that is a bit cleaner and does as you intend (focuses your attention on what is important).

I don't see much cause to eliminate the other buttons as they've not been made so much smaller and would likely be unobtrusive. Not going to cry about it.

However, I STRONGLY suggest you return the Reply and Quote buttons for each post to the lower right corner. This is always where I look for these buttons on any forum and it feels unnatural to reach off to the left to reply. I would much prefer to see these returned to the lower right corner with "Reply" taking the spot to the far right.
Thanks and Love are much less important and could go to the left.

I understand that the thread "Reply" buttons found at the bottom of a page are often to the left, but to me if feels more natural to have these keys to the right.

The new font size is nice, but personally I'm a sans serif kind of guy. I can learn to love serifs if necessary.

I'm one of the newer members here. I agree about location of the buttons. It's easier to keep them where they are. I suggest keeping Multi Quote and removing the News tip.

How about two sub-catagories under "Today's Posts": One for "Phones" and another for "Tablets".

I do not know about an attached image, but I do have an imbedded image - it is big enough to cause my Droid X2 to ponder awhile when generating it, too.

Maybe if the multi-quote button said... "Multi-Quote" people would know what it is for and use it ;)

I do use MQ on various forums, and feel it is a great tool when needed.

News Tip - Eh, I can live without it.

I'm not a fan of the heart on the "like" button though. I want to "like" a post, not "love" the post (or the post'er). Maybe a handshake for thanks and a thumbs-up for like?
