new sms not displaying at top of the list?

I'm not sure if this has to do with the leaked Froyo update I'm running, but Handcent was displaying odd times for messages received (usually a few hours before, therefore putting new messages NOT at the top). I figured deleting all my messages would fix it, but it didn't.

I figured I'd just use the default messaging app, and it does the same. Except it does show the correct time the message was received.

Anyone else having this problem, maybe even have a solution? Thanks.

I could not get Handcent or Chomp sms to work with 2.2....I went back to what came with device :'(

same here, they were out of order using chomp in the message list as well as the actual message thread (all the senders messages were lumped together and mine were lumped together)

the stock app works alright though. my message list is not in order (a contact with a new message isn't on top) but the thread works properly.
