I just got a popup on my Thunderbolt, prompting me to perform a device software update. I declined, and went into the Update menu to search for it, and nothing is found. Has anyone else seen anything like this?

I have an unrooted Thunderbolt, and I applied the recent OTA update last week.

The original OTA ruined our phones (my wife and I), and we have not installed any update on our new phones. I am going to wait until it is confirmed to be a different update, and that people are having good results to try it.

I used to update hungry, now I have a different opinion. I'm going to be one of the last guys to update, after I use all you as guinea pigs =)

are you by chance a Verizon employee/family member???????

this happened to someone shortly after the update came out and it turned out to be the same update and it was just a glitch

This happened to me too a couple of days after the original update came out. It didn't do anything when I clicked on it.

I wish there was an OTA because my phone is acting strange today. This is the only second time that it's happened to me but it's all after the update. My battery drains about 20% each hour while in standby mode. I unlocked my phone to get to the home screen and my battery dropped nearly 20%. I have no applications set to auto-refresh so I'm confused as to why this happens. I believe a simple reboot will solve this issue but what's draining my battery? I'm on Wi-Fi all day and that does not drain the battery much.

Damn update...

Definitely reboot the phone...could just a "rogue" app or something like that, which rebooting should fix. Never hurts to reboot it.

May also want to check your battery use to see if any particular applications are listed using high percentage of power before you do.

I will have to check next time before a reboot. I never had a sudden battery drain until the new update. Oh well, a reboot does fix my problem.

Eclipse2K,
Go in and check your Blockbuster app again. I had movie updates disabled, and twice now they have enabled again without my doing.

Just something to occasionally check on.

I just checked and there is an update... I have to differ it until I get home and check a few things... but there is an update.
