New Sprint Plans

I take it no one noticed the fine print that says the roaming limit is now 100MB vs the old 300MB, and that video streaming maybe limited to 1mbps. These all in all are a complete downgrade from the oder Everything plans.

In Hawaii that would mean 90KB
Data speeds for all to share!
No lte here and 3g slow as molasses

By the look of it when you exceed Sprint 1GB Video stream cap all your data after is basically crippled.
This is bad news , ATT & Verizon better not try to pull this.

You're clearly not paying attention to anything that has been said, video will be throttled to 1 megabit per-second IF it's needed based on current network conditions... There is no 1GB video cap like you have said, I'd love to know where you got that from.

EDIT: VZW is already throttling customers on unlimited data on 3G depending on current network conditions, and AT&T throttles their unlimited data customers too. So actually for unlimited, Sprint is the lesser of evils considering video streaming is the only thing throttled instead of every connection.

ATT has such cap on old unlimited plan , After 5gb of data throttle kicks in.
So basically on ATT you can stream up to 5GB of Video until throttle takes place.

I'm currently on ATT plan that allows 3GB , When exceeded 10.00 for ever GB over no throttle.

Not really a cap, just that you MAY be limited only on video streaming. If ping is good then 1mbps should be no problem for video streaming. This, just like the roaming caps is not something that is set in stone, it's simply something that may happen. With the way Network Vision has been structured, even more so with the 2500/2600 ClearWire spectrum the likely hood of actually being throttled like that would be rare. Most likely confined to packed events where many people are overloading the capacity of one tower.

Understood but if their setting a limit then changing data speed conditions when exceeded that would be a cap on full network performance .
When it comes to tower overload Sprint holds the golden ticket for that currently , In the long term when network gets on track such limit wording is pretty wide open.

I have had Sprint before and one month I almost reached 100GB of data used. Midday of it was due to streaming video. I never once experienced any throttling. Maybe things have changed, but want it a selling point for them that they didn't throttle your data?

Well you pay $92 and don't have insurance on the line, So that's $12 just in taxes if we're talking a 79.99 plan. Where as I pay $95.81 (let's just say $96), so it's base rate 79.99 + $8 insurance for BB Curve + $88 before tax. So $8 in taxes for me. I guess really when you work it out it's not that giant of a difference, but it's just odd to see someone paying almost as much as I am to not have insurance on the line.

For right now, in writing at least it only applies to the new plans. However we have no idea what will become of the SERO, Everything Data, and EPRP plans in the future. It should be known that you (according to Sprint workers at S4GRU) still will be able to get Everything Data plans by calling telesales or walking into a store.

Ok, my gov't fees and taxes are basically half yours at $4.23. As for the person that said I should drop the insurance because I have a Curve, and then apparently deleted the post... I have insurance because I beat the hell out of my BB's so that means constant usage/wear on the keyboard, the rubberized buttons, the media keys, and even the trackpad. All of those components I've managed to wear out 3 times now, the convenience it offers me to be able to order in a refurb after wearing out a phone is unparalleled. It beats having to buy something off ebay and wait for it to ship, also I'm waiting for when ever Sprint finally decides to release the Q10, so it allows me to not use my upgrade should it totally die.

Damn dude, mine is the same plan, and $71.00 after taxes...17% employer discount is all. Honestly, you could get unlimited on T-Mob (providing they have a signal where you are) for less. I'm keeping my 450 plan until it's time for renewal, and then I'll explore yet another carrier...again. If they change my current plan, that is.

I've been thinking about it. Tmobile is good here and we are even a launched Tmobile LTE market. This is why I am worried about them moving me to these new plans.. I'd pay more with the all in (110 a month before taxes).

If you know anybody that has T-Mobile ask about the taxes. See if it's the same as Sprint. Also check coverage where you normally go.

Here is my T-Mobile bill this coming month with 8 dollar insurance for both phones. T-mobile no contract shared plan.
My line has unlimited data and my wife line has 2.5GB data. Our Plan has unlimited talk, text, mobile hotspot,free Wifi calling.
