New to Android and S5.....need help to Root

I just switched from iphone and bought a Galaxy S5 At&t SM-G900A with Android version 4.4.4 and would like to Root it. As far as I can see there is no way to Root this device with 4.4.4.............is this correct?
If it is possible, I would appreciate any help to Root my phone.

Yes, as I understand it (I'm still on 4.4.2 because of that) you have to revert to a 4.4.2 kernel, root, then revert back to the 4.4.4 kernel. Look in AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 5 - XDA Forums - there are a few threads about it (and links to files).
