New to Android, anything I should know?

Hello everyone!,

I am new to the world of android. I just got a Att Samsung Galexy S2 and I love it! Is there anything I should know? best add-on or apps? Just general information. Any positive information is much appreciated.

Hi there and welcome! I'm new myself but I have found the forums a great place to find some good apps. There are many threads with things like top 5 apps, what's your favorite app, etc. Just type in something like "best apps" in the search function and many many threads will pop up.

As for what's the best ones to use, I suppose it all depends on what you like and what you use your phone for. Another good place I've found is to just browse around in Google Play (formerly the Android Market). They have all the apps and widgets broken down into categories and you can sort them by most popular, top free, top paid etc.

Get ready to be overwhelmed. I got my phone 4 days ago and I'm still browsing apps lol!

Welcome to the Free World (a.k.a. NOT APPLE)

Here's some advice...
1. Find the sub-forum on here for your phone, the Samsung Galaxy S II.
2. Read as much as Possible.
3. Root.
4. Flash Recovery.
5. Rom your Phone.

Since you probably don't know what steps 3-5 meant... You should probably get reading
