New To Android: How do I sync my Outlook Calendar with my S4?

Re: New To Android: How Do I Sync My Outlook Calendar with My S4

Read the earlier posts by me or CompanionLink. You use Deja Office (Android app) in conjunction with Companion Link (desktop software for Windows or Mac). There is a trial version of Companion Link you can try first before paying for it. This is for contacts and calendar entries. For mail from Outlook we would need to know if it is corporate (exchange server) or home (pop server or imap server).

Re: New To Android: How Do I Sync My Outlook Calendar with My S4

I have just moved from Blackberry to S4. I have noticed that many of the complaints are back in 2013, so maybe I just don't understand how to Sync my Outlook to my S4. Kies is a piece of junk, but apparently the only option available. I have noticed that Kies will duplicate my contacts in Outlook even though I have set the "arrow" so the data is ONLY supposed to transfer from Outlook to the S4. Additionally, there is no option to set the sync direction for either tasks or calendar. Who ever designed that must have his or her head somewhere the sun doesn't shine. And on top of that, the ONLY thing that I can get to syn from my Outlook to my S4 are the all day events. The sync won't pick up individual appointments from Outlook and sync them to the S4. PLEASE, someone tell me I'm seriously stupid and show me what I'm doing wrong!! Thanks for reading my vent. Mike

Deja Office and Companion Link work beautifully once it is setup and configured. You should check them out.

Wow - it is really simple. I went out to the Samsung site and had a live chat with a technician......when you set a new event on the phone you have to make sure that you have selected the correct calendar. It will then sync almost instantly back to your outlook calendar. It defaults to the last calendar entered. No extra apps or pushups or whatever are needed

I like AkrutoSync, which syncs Outlook contacts, calendars, tasks and notes with my Android. Easy to use (wireless and automatic), accurate, works with your existing Outlook calendar and with native phone apps.

I just sync my Bosses calendar to their secretary, the steps are:

1. Create an account at wxx.outlook.com (free email service from Microsoft), we need it calendar function only.

2. Download and install outlook connector to your PC, link wxx.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=24677

3, The Microsoft Outlook will automatically ask to add an account, the put your wxx.outlook.com id and password

4. Go to your Outlook calendar, and you will see you outlook.com calendar there

5. Create any event on that calendar, or can create calendar event direct from wxx.outlook.com

6. On your gadget, click the stock Calendar apps. Click setting and add account then put your wxx.oulook.com id and password and make sure to check the sync box. Finish

7. Whatever event you create with your Microsoft Outlook it will sync to your gadget, and whatever event you create with your gadget it will sync to your Microsoft Outlook.

Hope this will help you

I have a very busy schedule and a lot of contact and calendars, I have been syncing my android and my pc with Sync2 for more than a year, still doing it, and it works like a charm. They use a google to outlook method to your phone with pc, profile is really easy to set up, and also if you have problems, just contact their customer support, they work 24/7 as i remember. cheers.
