I'm brand new (1 hour) to Android (switched frim iOS) and I have my first confusing situation. My Google+ app is not the current version and there is no option to update that I can find. I'm running ICS 4.0.2. In the play store it just has an open option but no update.

Thanks for any help!

So open the app and use it.

The most current general release version is in the app store.

No clue if there's an .apk for some other version.

I turned off the phone and restarted it. Then it said I had a bunch of updates for stock apps.

Still won't update ICS to 4.0.4 though.

Go to settings, about phone, then system update.
Where did you purchase the phone? When I got mine, i received OTA notifications right away

Your carrier has to push the update... Unless you buy from Google, your update is at the whim of your carrier.

Sorry I'm not sure what version galaxy nexus wind mobile carries... if it is not takju or yakju, you have to wait till wind mobile pushes the update.

Its yakjuux. I think I've read that Samsung pushes them out them.
