Hello Everyone!

Thanks so much for putting together, maintaining, and contributing to this website!
I'm coming from the Palm-Based Smartphone, Treo 755p. I've gone to the Thunderbolt and love the way it is designed but I really need some help:

I'm trying to search all over for solutions to the following issues, but it is quite overwhelming, and I'm finding bits and pieces, but still having challenges finding exactly what I need......

1. Calendar: EVERYTHING I KEPT IN HERE! And now I have NOTHING! I'm lost and in shock. What do I do? Do I have to go to Google Calendar? How do I put all of my calendar in there? I used to use Google Calendar (and an app on my iPod Touch called Calengoo) in order to share just a few items of my calendar with my fellow workmates. Also the calendar would sync with my Outlook (for the Palm), and keep everything in different colors (my calendar on the Palm, my Google Calendar, my workmate's Google Calendar). I really need to fix this today so that it is all usable. Is there a way to still be able to use Outlook, or will I be able to use another calendar (even while offline and not connected with my internet or 4G). HELP!

2. Text Messages/Threads: How do I get the old ones from my Treo to my Thunderbolt? Is is a lost cause? I have several saved on my phone that I really want to keep (and have kept for a very long time). What do I do?

3. Applications: I sure wish there was a way to have my iPod Apps moved directly to my Thunderbolt. But it is ok. I won't worry about this. I will just search for them one-at-a-time, and put those that are available onto my Bolt as needed..... NOT a high priority (except one, My Getting Things Done App, that I have just paid for in the iPod. I may end up just using the iPod AND the Thunderbolt in tandem for a while----especially due to the fact that I have NO WAY of getting all of my music onto the Thunderbolt! I'm already up to over 36Meg of music on my iPod Touch 64G). Is anyone using GTD on the Android system?

4. Contacts-I got this figured out. It was really a PAIN, but they were eventually able to get them off my Treo and move to the Thunderbolt (through infrared to a device, then connected the device to the Thunderbolt). However, are they all on Google now? How do I keep them updated? Are they always automatically updated on Google and on my Thunderbolt?

Cool! I will check it out and see how it goes.

My top two concerns (before I get some sleep tonight) are going to be

1. having the ability to sync all the CONTACTS (including all the NOTE data, which is very extensive and important as it includes very important customer data, client information, and personal information).

2. being able to sync all calendar events with NOTES.

I will check out the thread, perform what I can, and let you know how it goes!

Thanks so much!

I've been looking (for a while now) and I think I may be on the right track: I'm at a page that says I should use Google Apps Migration for Microsoft Outlook, which requires a Google Apps Account, which is free for 30 days.

Am I on the right track?
Will this sync my Calendar and my Contacts (including the notes)?

I'm noticing that the notes are truncated to 16k. How much is that, really? I do have extensive text in my notes, but maybe a few paragraphs of data, at most.....

Let me know asap (I'm running a backup of my data now and am going to be getting it ready for data migration in a few minutes).

Thanks!
