Hello, new to Android OS on a OnePlus One from a BlackBerry Z10. Coming from BB, I'm used to simplicity and convenience, not overwhelming options and settings to choose from. I'll get the customization bug eventually, I'm sure, but for now I'm just looking for a clean simple setup that gives me real time notifications for all my accounts on my home screen and locked screen. Not digging the drop down menu for viewing emails and messages at all. Incidentally, can i disable the notifications in the drop down menu after I find a setup that I like to avoid redundancy?

thanks

Um, the notification bar is baked into the system as part of Lollipop, so no. You'll get used to the customization quick and.youll find some great themes or launchers to start. There are some good 3rd party email apps you can use, instead of the stock mail app. Coming from BB Z10 (years ago) and Passport ( last November ) , the learning curve is pretty easy.

You'll have to use Device Switch to bring over all your contacts. documents, music and video files. You will have to find alternative apps that work close to the apps you used for BB.
