New to Android

Hi there, as the thread title says I am new to android.

I have just got a LG G3 ready to replace my iPhone 5.

An issue that i'm having is that i set everything up on it that i needed to do such as; screen brightness, screen timeout time and other things. But i have noticed that once i power off my phone, my screen brightness always goes back to 100% when i turn it back on.

Is this normal?

That doesn't seem normal if you have it set to a specific amount. Have you tried setting this from Settings, Display instead of from the sliders in the drop-down notification panel?

Yeah I've just tried it through the settings, display menu but the same has happened again.

Will it have anything to do with me not having a sim card inserted?

Why not just have leave your phone off? Mine only goes off when my battery dies. Besides that, though, I powered my phone off and back on, and my screen did not go to 100%.

You have it set to use ambient light (automatic screen brightness). Turn it off. Try that!
