New to Droid

Hey, what's going on guys? I'm am very new to this.

Currently in the process of leaving the Blackberry for the Android platform!. So I'm not offically down yet but this is one of my first steps lol.

Thanks, I'm trying to figure out where I should post to ask for references on phones. I'm with Verizon and plan on staying with them. But i want to chose a phone I will be happy with long term and it seems difficult to choose between the plethora of options

On Verizon, the Galaxy Nexus, HTC Rezound, and Motorola Razr are popular phones. Take a look at the reviews on the main AC page and the forums for the phones. I went with the Nexus because I wanted a pure Google experience. Most Android phones have customized versions of Android that modify the UI and apps on the phone.

Welcome aboard.

If you are new to android, the rezound would be my choice. Sense (it's UI) helped me get a better grip on android and what it can and can't do.
If I didn't have a phone with sense already, I would have gotten the rezound over the Nexus.

You will love the android platform and really won't miss BBM after too long either
