Does the Android phones / OSes allow for over the 160 Character limits in text messages automatically or do you need an additional program like on BlackBerries, similar to CrunchSMS? CrunchSMS allows you to send messages no matter how long they are since it automatically breaks it up into 160 character messages and sends them out.

I have Sprint Hero and am using Chomp and I can type more than 160 characters at a time. Pretty sure the stock messenger does as well, but not 100% positive since I don't use it.
