New to Inspire/HTC/Android

I am coming from a BB Torch. I never could get Google Sync to sync every contact with my BB.

After I bought the Inspire, I used the Inspire bluetooth to move the contacts from my BB to my Inspire. However, the Inspire is working just like Google Sync, and only syncing a few contacts..... What am I doing wrong??

Have you looked at your address book to verify your contacts list? It could be possible you have your contacts separated by groups? If anything, enable the sync option on the phone for contacts, calendar, etc.

Its fairly easy to set up your GMAIL account within the Inspire which will sync all contacts.

In your Android, look for SETTINGS > ACCOUNTS & SYNC and click on the email you want to sync your info to the phone with.

I came over here from BB also. I remember coming across a thread about differences in how the contacts are set up, whether they are google/gmail contacts or other.

I think I have figured out the problem.. However I can't find the solution in a language that I can understand! HA For some reason in my BB, I have contacts stored in either Google or Unknown. The google contacts will sync just fin3... it's the Unknown contacts that won't sync.

my fix.. while it may not be the fastest... i just compared my gmail account on my computer with my contacts on my phone, and texted myself the contacts i was missing. there were only 150 contacts, so it didn't take more than 30 minutes. after that i re synced my htc with my google account.
