I just got my photon and love it so far but i have a few questions i need answers for, i have downloaded a one click root and wifi tether free but havent done either yet, my question is that if i root the phone and use the wifi tether can sprint see that im using it?(i do have unlimited data plan, i had a blackberry 8530 with the usb tether app and used 15gb a month constantly) My second question is there any extended batteries that dont need a larger back, and would a droid razr maxx battery work in photon? Thanks and im loving the jump from bb to Droid

Well, a couple basic's first. The Photon isn't a Droid phone...Droid's are exclusive to Verizon. Second, the Droid Razr & Razr Maxx have non-removable batteries...so no, they are not interchangeable as they are completely different phones.

The Photon is a great phone in its own right, and the kickstand IMO is the best feature of the phone. Welcome!

Yeah, 'Droid' is a Verizon trademark and is not a nickname for 'Android.'

Also,

Using 15GB of data a month is a lot, and is the reason Sprint will probably implement bandwidth limits on LTE....so, thanks!

Enjoy the phone though, I made the Blackberry to Android switch a few years ago...I could never go back.
