New to Nexus 6P... battery and camera

Hi guys, so I'm trying this used Nexus 6P after being Apple all my life. I was just curious and damn, I'm loving it. Android on this thing is literally flying!!

I'm pretty happy with it, and I'm waiting the next Google event to make a call to ditch the iPhone forever.

In the meanwhile, I have a couple of question:
1) the only difference with my 6s plus, is the camera app. The Nexus 6P camera is a bit slower and sometimes stutters. How can I improve that? Or can I change it with another (quicker) camera app? What do you suggest?
2) battery life is not good. how can i optimise it? when I installed all the apps, I gave them all permissions (especially location, also to those apps that don't really need it like contacts...). Any suggestion to make it on par with the 6s plus?

Thanks

Thanks I'll try. I wonder why my friend with the Xperia z3c has 2 days of battery life... does battery saving affect maps directions?

Slightly. High accuracy is very accurate, but in my experience, the starting point might be slightly off. What some people do is use battery saving generally and switch to high accuracy when they need to use maps.

As for the battery life, it depends on the phone. That phone (your friend's) is good with battery life.
